Band heaters
The heating band is used for plasticizing plastics in injection molding machines and for heating selected sections of industrial installations. The band housing is made of stainless steel. In micanite heaters, the heating elements are wires and resistance bands wound on a micanite insulator.

- Construction

Thanks to the use of AISI 304 steel cover, the heaters can work even in an aggressive environment. Appropriately dense winding of the resistance element ensures an even temperature over the entire surface. The individual design of the winding of the resistance element allows to make holes / cutouts exactly according to customer needs.
The current output from the heater is made of nickel wire in fiberglass insulation. It is possible to install temperature sensors in the heater (Pt100, J or K Thermocouples , bimetallic switch). An aluminum heat sink can be used in micanite heaters, which allows work in heating and cooling sections.

Band heaters can be made with different power distribution. Appropriate distribution of heating power density on the surface of the element gives the ability to control the temperature. This technology is used to eliminate heat loss at the ends of heaters and to heat selected zones.
