Coil heaters are widely used in industry. They are used, among others, in hot runner systems and in places where standard band heaters cannot be used (due to the small diameter of the element and high power). They are used for plasticizing plastics in injection molding machines and for heating selected sections of industrial installations. They achieve more power than band heaters. They are also more airtight, and thus – resistant to spills, e.g. with plastic.
Coil heating elements are made in a stainless steel coat. Depending on the customer’s needs, they can be delivered in a simple form or for self-winding.

Design
General structure
Coil heaters are made of stainless steel AISI 304 and AISI 321 and terminated by a tightly welded bottom. Thanks to the applied production technology, they achieve high power in relation to the heating surface. The use of the highest quality materials ensures high precision and durability of the product. Subjecting the ring elements to appropriate technological processes guarantees a high operating temperature, and the additional use of the sensor allows to achieve a precisely defined temperature and protects the heater from damage.
Characteristics of the elements:
Nickel-chromium resistance wire, properly compacted with high quality magnesium oxide;
Current output in the form of a copper conductor in a PFA coating or a nickel conductor in a fiberglass braid;
Possibility of installing a temperature sensor (type K thermocouple, type J thermocouple);
Cold zones (unheated) depending on the diameter of the heater (min. 30 mm from the wires side and 5 mm from the bottom side).

Heating zones
It is possible to make heaters with uneven distribution of coils in order to obtain the desired distribution of thermal power.

type J thermocouple (up to 650°C)
type K thermocouple (up to 1000°C)
Optional execution
Clamp – thanks to the band, the heater adheres better to the heated element and does not move (it is possible to adjust the diameter of the heater to the element).
Tubular casing – thanks to the band, the heater adheres better to the heated element and does not move (constant external and internal diameter).
