Ring heaters

Ring heaters are widely used in industry. They are used, among others, in hot runner systems and in places where standard band heaters cannot be used (due to the small diameter of the element and high power). They are used for plasticizing plastics in injection molding machines and for heating selected sections of industrial installations. They achieve more power than band heaters. They are also more airtight, and thus – resistant to spills, e.g. with plastic.

The reinforced brass construction protects the heating element against mechanical damage and ensures optimal heat transfer and perfect fit to the nozzle housing. The stainless steel outer surface effectively protects the brass casing of the heating element, and the power distribution allows optimal heat delivery.

  • Cutting the pipe
  • Winding the resistance wire
  • Backfilling the heating element
  • Welding the bottom covering the pipe
  • Rolling
  • Forming the heater
  • Sealing
  • Current connections
  • Design
  • Making a winding core

General structure
Strzałka w dół

Ring heaters are made of AISI 304 and AISI 321 stainless steel and brass. Thanks to the applied production technology, they achieve high power in relation to the heating surface. The use of the highest quality materials ensures high precision and durability of the product. Subjecting the ring elements to appropriate technological processes guarantees a high operating temperature, and the additional use of the sensor allows to achieve a precisely defined temperature and protects the heater from damage. The welding process guarantees maximum tightness.

Characteristics of the elements:

  • Nickel-chromium resistance wire, properly compacted with high quality magnesium oxide;
  • Current output in the form of a copper conductor in a PFA coating or a nickel conductor in a fiberglass braid;
  • Temperature sensor installation (type K thermocouple type K, type J thermocouple);
  • Cold zones (non-heated) depending on the diameter of the heater (min. 30 mm from the wiring side).
