Cartridge heaters

Cartridge heaters are primarily used to heat solids, and are also successfully applied to liquids and gases. Their design enables a very high power density from a compact footprint, allowing installation where space is limited.

They are ideal wherever fast, precise heating is required — for example in forming dies, punches, injection nozzles, sealing jaws and knives, molds, edgebanders, and small tanks.

Heater Construction

Optional integrated temperature sensor:

  • Thermocouple type J (up to 650°C)
  • Thermocouple type K (up to 1000°C)
  • Pt100 RTD (up to 350°C)

Types of heaters

Type A — Flexible lead outlet; leads can be bent directly behind the heater. Option: additional cable protection.

Type B — Rigid rods extend from the heater; leads attach to rods (cannot bend directly behind the heater).

Type C — Side outlet directly from the heater body; very compact angled outlet for tight spaces.

Type D — Angled heater with terminal block; highly sealed and mechanically protected outlet.

Type E — Angled heater with welded sleeve; same diameter as the heater for tighter installations.

Type F — Heater with threaded bushing (dimensions and position per specification). Variants: F1, F2.

Type G — Single pole lead outlet (low voltage only).

Type H — Single pole stud outlet (low voltage only).

Type I — Straight heater with stop/mounting flange.

Type J — Straight heater with welded mounting bracket.

Type K — Bent cartridge heater.
